The Aussie ‘It Girl’

Moving down from a small town in Queensland to Melbourne at the age of 17 to start acting professionally,  Margot Robbie has became the name on everyone’s lips world wide. In 2008 she appeared on Neighbours as Donna Freeman which was originally meant to be a guest role but was promoted to a regular cast member. Robbie was nominated as “Favourite Hottie” at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards and Most Popular Female Actress at the 2009 Logie Awards. After three years on Neighbours she left the show in 2010 to purse her career in Hollywood with cast members supporting her as they had no doubt “she would be as big as she wanted to be”

In 2011, the Aussie Starlet took on Hollywood and landed a role as Laura Cameron in ABC’s drama Pan Am which was canceled after one season. The young actress then landed a role along side Rachael McAdams in About Time (2013) before being casted for Martin Scorsese’s Wolf of Wall Street with Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill which was a  commercial success worldwide. Critics praised Robbie’s performance and her Brooklyn accent. The Aussie Star has since starred in many Hollywood films such as Focus, Z for Zachariah, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, The Legend of Tarzan and Suicide Squad.
